  • November 16 – 20, 2015 - Minimum Days (Parent-Teacher Conference)

Communication between home and school is extremely critical towards providing an effective instructional environment for our children.  As we prepare for Parent-Teacher Conferences, we look forward to your insights regarding your child’s education and input about the school year. As a parent, you provide valuable information for your child’s classroom teacher, so they are better able to address your child’s needs. Our teachers truly appreciate your support that you give to your child in his/her education while at home.

During your conference, your child’s teacher will be sharing information about district curricula, your child’s achievement, work habits, and peer relationships. Please feel free to write down any questions that you may have for the conference.

The 2015-2016 school year marks an important change in the school schedule in our district.  Each Monday this school year will be a minimum day, and the remaining days will be a few minutes longer in order to ensure quality instructional minutes.

The purpose of the early release time on Mondays is to allow our staff to participate in Professional Development days, schedule staff meetings and parent meetings, and to effectively prepare and collaborate with one another. Each Monday afternoon will be tightly scheduled, with each event designed to increase our effectiveness as professional educators of the students we serve.

We know that a schedule change requires some adjustment on your part.  We appreciate your willingness to do so, and we are looking forward to an outstanding school year!
