Hello Elverta Families. We are planning to resume in-person school for kindergarten on Thursday, November 12. We will resume grade 1 through grade 5 on Tuesday, November 17. Classes will be held Tuesday through Friday. The AM group will meet from 8:00-11:00. The PM group will meet from 12:00-3:00. Grades 6-8 will resume on Tuesday, December 1, on the same AM/PM schedule. We are excited to take these next steps. We will provide many more details in the days to come, and we must remember that Sacramento County health orders may change at any time. Thank you, and we are looking forward to seeing your students in school once again.
Hello Elverta Families. There will be no school the week of October 12-16, 2020 for Fall Break. This means no distant learning, meal pickups, and homework pickup or drop off. On Monday, October 19, 2020 the regular distant learning schedule, meal pickups, and homework pickup and drop off will resume. Enjoy Fall Break.
This is a reminder that on Monday, September 14, students will begin working with their grade-level teachers for the rest of the school year. Our "jumpstart" program has been a great success and we are looking forward to our students being with their new teachers.
Just a reminder that school is closed for Labor Day this Monday, September 7. Next week only, school materials drop-off and pick up will be on Tuesday, September 8, with the special time of 11:30-12:30. Thank you!
Hello Elverta students and parents! We are looking forward to the start of school on Wednesday, August 19. In preparation for the first day of school, we have scheduled school work distribution for Tuesday, August 18, from 10:30 – 12:30. This will take place at the door of your student’s classroom. You can also find the same school work on the Teacher Page (click Menu at the top at the top of this page, and Teacher Pages is on the right hand side). Your child’s teacher will be contacting you soon. Remember, even though our students have moved up a grade, they will work with their teacher from last year the first few weeks to jumpstart the year with review and catch-up. We can’t wait to see you next week!

(Friday, April 3, 2020) All 13 Sacramento County School Districts, and the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), today agreed to keep their campuses closed through the end of the school year to jointly support the coronavirus mitigation effort. The decision was made in consultation with Sacramento County Health Director Dr. Peter Beilenson. “I commend our districts and their fine staffs for doing everything possible to provide distance learning. Districts will also continue distributing meals to students in need,” said David W. Gordon, Sacramento County Superintendent of Schools. Superintendent Gordon also emphasized that while school facilities will not be re-opening, education for students will continue via distance learning. SCOE also is providing a collection of enrichment resources for students, families, and school districts that may be helpful for remote learning. School meal pickups will continue to be available throughout Sacramento County. The Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services has published an interactive map of local meal distribution sites established by local school districts. The announcement by the Districts is in accord with recent statements by Governor Newsom and State Superintendent Thurmond that all California districts focus on distance learning for the remainder of the current school year. Elverta School District is closed for Spring Break April 6-10. We will resume with on-line classroom meetings, work packets, and “grab and go” lunches on Monday, April 13. Thank you for your continued support as we work together through this unprecedented time.
Update: COVID-19 (coronavirus) Thank you for your patience during this ever-changing situation. In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 we have decided to extend school closures through May 1st with students returning to school on May 4th. During the week of April 6-10, Spring Break, class packets and programs will not be available. Class packets and programs will resume on April 13th. As our district community navigates this difficult time, we must continue to follow the “shelter-in-place” order issued and stay home except for essential activities. Thank you again for your patience and we will continue to keep you updated on any changes.
Update: COVID-19 (coronavirus) In consultation with the Sacramento County Office of Education, California Department of Public Health, and the Sacramento County Department of Public Health, due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus), Elverta School District will close from March 16 - April 10. At this time we anticipate that school will resume on Monday, April 13, 2020. We will be observing Spring Break during the closure time, rather than the previously scheduled dates of April 13-17. Once again, we anticipate resuming school on Monday. April 13, 2020. We appreciate your understanding and assistance. We apologize for any scheduling inconveniences that arise out of the change in Spring Break. We will continue to keep you updated. Thank you
Update: COVID-19 (coronavirus) As of March 12, 2020: In consultation with the Sacramento County Office of Education, California Department of Public Health, and the Sacramento County Department of Public Health, if one student or staff member of a school tests positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus), the school will close for an undetermined period of time. We appreciate your understanding and assistance. We will continue to keep you updated.
COVID-19 (coronavirus) Update You may have heard that a local school district announced they will be moving their Spring Break to this coming week as a precaution for the COVID-19 (coronavirus). The Elverta School District will continue to work closely with the Sacramento County Public Health. If our schedule changes, you will be immediately notified.
